grapesThe Public Broadcasting System’s popular “Antiques Roadshow” has everyone looking for the antique or collectible “find-of-the-century.” Here are plenty of reasons to take that second look…

There will be plenty of opportunities to pick up a bargain at the 50-Mile Long Garage Sale along the north-south Route 90, which crosses Routes 5 & 20 between Montezuma and Cayuga, just west of Auburn. This annual event with hundreds of yard sales is held the last weekend in July.

For critical mass, antiquers will surely find something to their liking along The Bloomfield Antique Country Mile of Bloomfield. Over 175 dealers in antiques of all types and eras have joined forces along this stretch of the Routes 5 & 20 corridor. Also in Bloomfield, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church sponsors its Annual Antique Show and Sale in July, gathering over 60 vendors on the Village Green.

grapesJuly is the month for antiques in Skaneateles. The Annual Skaneateles UnitedMethodist AntiquesShow & Sale features over 90 dealers! You don’t have to be a collector or even asailor to appreciate the beauty of the restored boats on display at the Annual Finger Lakes Antique and Classic Boat Show, held the last weekend in July.

The AACA Antique Car Show, held in Auburn in July, will have more than 400 antique cars, motorcycles and trucks on display.

In August, antique farm equipment takes center stage at the Pageant of Steam in Canandaigua.
